Justin specialises in dispute resolution and has extensive experience handling litigation, regulatory proceedings and disputes relating to reputational risk and governance both in Australia and internationally.
After many years working in-house as group general counsel for a global organisation, where he developed a deep understanding of the client’s perspective and needs, Justin is uniquely positioned to advise clients facing disputes or regulatory investigations. He is known as a commercially focused problem solver, recognised for identifying innovative solutions that help avoid protracted litigation.
Justin's practice includes advising on and resolving contentious issues arising in tightly held, often family owned enterprises stemming from trustee acts or omissions and/or inter-generational management and ownership transfers as well as issues arising from corporate insolvencies, acting both on behalf of and against liquidators of insolvent companies and groups.
Justin has also acted for both international institutions and SMEs in large scale complex proceedings, often involving investment funds and/or unit trusts, and regularly advises small to medium sized service providers and businesses, professional services firms, insolvency practitioners, trustees and company directors, as well as lenders.
