After 8 years with the tax group of Ernst & Young, Thomas spent 18 years as part of the tax team at one of Australia's largest law firms, Allens, before joining BWS in 2018.
Thomas has advised on many large and complex transactions during the course of his career and has extensive experience in all aspects of income tax and capital gains tax including the taxation issues relevant to M&A transactions and tax consolidated groups, tax residency, international taxation and tax treaties, withholding taxes, the taxation of financial arrangements and the tax treatment of shares or options granted to employees under employee share schemes.
