Robin is a Partner who specialises in corporate and commercial law. He acts for owner managed businesses, national premium brands and aspirational individuals in a diverse range of industries.
Robin advises clients on corporate transactions including business/asset and share sales, mergers and acquisitions, schemes of arrangement and takeovers, joint venture arrangements and business restructuring.
Robin also advises on general corporate and commercial issues including negotiation and drafting of a broad range of commercial agreements, corporate regulatory matters and resolution of commercial disputes.
He has considerable experience acting for co-operatives in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Robin's recent corporate and commercial experience at Brown Wright Stein includes:
- Acting for a household name kitchen appliance brand as part of its re-establishment in the Australian marketplace.
- Acting for a number of vendor companies in the structuring of a national retail group.
- Advising on the restructure of Sydney based operations of a global financial services provider.
- Advising on the sale of a long-established Sydney sporting organisation.
- Assisting a well known UK-based marketing company establish its Australian operations.
Robin has practised as a solicitor in New South Wales since 2004. Before moving to Australia from England in 2004 Robin worked in private practice for an award winning regional UK law firm and as in-house counsel for an international, FTSE listed, travel company. Robin has also worked on secondment as in-house counsel for corporate clients in Australia. Robin joined Brown Wright Stein in November 2010 and became a Partner of the firm in July 2011.
When not at work Robin enjoys a range of outdoor pursuits and supporting rugby league, football and cricket.
